MEDIA RELEASE - Industry group established to support Tasmanian business participation in stadium

An industry reference group has been established to provide advice and strengthen engagement between the stadium project and Tasmania's key industry sectors.

Local participation remains an important focus as the stadium project progresses. This includes creating opportunities for Tasmanian businesses, subcontractors, workers and apprentices, as well as supporting workforce training.

The Macquarie Point Precinct Industry Group (MPPIG) brings together five peak bodies representing the hospitality, tourism, business events, civil construction and building sectors.

Collectively, these member organisations represent a broad cross-section of Tasmanian businesses. The group will strengthen engagement between the project and local industry, providing a forum for members to share industry insights, practical advice and feedback.

It will also provide a coordinated connection between Macquarie Point Development Corporation, the contractor and industry. This will help businesses stay informed about the project and better understand and prepare for future opportunities.
