Current and Upcoming Tenders

Expression of Interest – Stadium Main Contractor

The Macquarie Point Development Corporation is currently undertaking an Expression of Interest process for the main contractor to deliver the Macquarie Point Multipurpose Stadium.

This marks the start of the procurement process, where contractors will have the exciting opportunity to bid to deliver this project.

The assessment will consider respondents’ delivery experience and capacity, their team and financial capacity to deliver the project, and will be followed by a two-stage Request for Tender process.

Process

Expression of Interest

Through the EOI process, the responses will be carefully reviewed and assessed to shortlist participants to be part of the subsequent Request for Tender process.

The Request for Tender will be delivered over two stages:

  • Request for Tender Stage 1

    • The RFT will then be issued to those shortlisted through the EOI. Each Tenderer will be required to submit detail on how they will deliver the project and the associated costs.

    • These submissions will then be assessed and participation into the second stage will be confirmed for a preferred Tender. However, pending the assessment, both bidders may be invited to participate.

  • Request for Tender Phase 2

    • These submissions will then be assessed. The final stage of the RFT is an opportunity to undertake further work, commence the design finalisation process and to provide time to engage with the local industry.

All phases include conditions of participation and evaluation criteria.

The full procurement process is expected to take approximately 12 months, with a contractor appointed at the end of 2026 or early in 2027.

Respondents must be accredited under the WHS Accreditation Scheme established under the Federal Safety Commissioner Act 2022 (Cth) and specified in the Federal Safety Commissioner (Accreditation Scheme) Rules 2023. â€‹
