The final hurdle to the once-in-a-lifetime development at Macquarie Point has been cleared, with permanent development set to occur on the site.
Work can now begin on preparation of the site for the first parcels of land to go to market by mid-2020.
With amendments approved through the Tasmanian Planning Commission, the door is now open for work that will attract investors and developers to the site, with hundreds of jobs to be created throughout the construction and ongoing operation of Mac Point.
